CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY AT SJRCC

Now more than ever, jobs require technical training, and many jobs will require more than a high school diploma. SJRCC offers a broad range of classes using industry standard software and equipment to prepare students for the workplace in two years or less.


Apprenticeships
    SJRCC offers several apprenticeship programs in the construction and building trades. Apprenticeship is a training method that combines paid work experience with classroom related instruction. Program length varies from three to four years.


Architectural Drafting and
Construction Technology
(A.S. Degree)
    This program prepares students for employment as construction planners and provides supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations.


Drafting (College Credit Certificate)
    This program provides education necessary for assisting architects and construction engineers in planning, designing and detailing using CAD skills. Computer design techniques are emphasized. This program is an intermediate step toward an A.S. degree in Architectural Design and Construction Technology

Salary Ranges
    $13.86 to $24.07

A.S. Degrees:
Two-year programs for students who plan to enter a chosen career at the semi-professional level. A.S. degrees include general education courses designed to help develop a well-rounded individual and enhance employment potential.


College Credit Certificates:
Programs designed to prepare students for immediate entry into a career in the workforce. These programs are one year in length and are an intermediate step toward an A.S. degree in a particular area of study.
