SJRCC to host golf tournament
The St. Johns River Community College Athletic Association will present its third annual golf classic on November 9. Funds raised will benefit SJRCC’s four athletic programs, said Athletic Director Ross Jones. “The event will help raise the crucial funds needed to enhance scholarships and housing packages – items crucial to recruiting that blue chip player,” he said.
The tournament is sponsored by the Beck Automotive Group and will be held at the Royal St. Augustine Golf & Country Club. Foursome packages are available for $450; individuals can participate for $125.
Interested players may contact the SJRCC Athletic Department to register at (386) 312-4162. Enrollment begins at 7:15 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
SJRCC’s athletic programs are based on the Palatka campus and consist of men’s basketball, men’s baseball, women’s fast-pitch softball and women’s volleyball.
