SJRCC announces administrative changes

St. Johns River Community College announces administrative promotions and appointments for the new fiscal year.

Bert Whitaker, J.D., Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences, was promoted to Vice President for Academic Affairs. Whitaker, who previously taught history and business law for SJRCC for 23 years, replaces Shirley Kennedy, Ph.D., who retired after 22 years of service.

Rosalind Humerick, Ph.D., was promoted to Vice President for Research and Institutional Effectiveness. Humerick previously taught chemistry for 13 years and most recently served as the Dean of Arts and Sciences.

Professor Linda Mackie, Ph.D., was promoted to Dean of Arts and Sciences. Mackie has taught anatomy and physiology on the St. Augustine Campus for five years.

Anna Lebesch returns to SJRCC on August 1 as the Vice President of Workforce Development. Lebesch replaces Michael Purinton, Ph.D., who retired after 11 years of service.
