The SJRCC Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established to supplement the financial needs and the long-term development of the College that cannot be met with state funds. Support is made possible through private donations to the Foundation and guided by a Foundation Board comprised of community leaders who volunteer their time and resources.

SJRCC Celebrates 50 years of Education and Enrichment!

The SJRCC Foundation is proud to announce its online scholarship application. Students can now apply online for all scholarships offered through the Foundation. Click on the "Scholarships" link to the left in order to access this page.

May 9, 2008
Friends, alumni and faculty of St. Johns River Community College gathered May 9, 2008 on the Palatka Campus lawn to celebrate 50 years of education and enrichment. The event would not have been possible without the support of sponsors Georgia-Pacific, Beck Automotive Group and Armstrong Contracting Services, Inc. SJRCC President Robert L. McLendon, Jr. welcomed more than 350 guests to the sold out event. The evening included special presentations and recognition of faculty and alumni accomplishments while guests were treated to dinner and performances by Florida School of the Arts students. Alumnus Federal Judge Steve Merryday was the guest speaker for the evening.

March 17, 2008
The SJRCC Foundation and the Athletic Department host the 2nd Annual Golf Classic to benefit the student-athlete scholarship fund. The event was held at Marsh Creek Country Club and sponsored by Beck Automotive Group.

March 3, 2008
The SJRCC Foundation and the St. Johns County Sheriffs Office join forces to raise money for the Josh Blyler Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is in memory of Josh Blyler, a St. Johns River Community College law enforcement academy graduate and St. Johns County Sheriff who was killed in the line of duty in May 2004. The event raised over $25,000.00, and was sponsored by Palisade Capital Management, Prosperity Bank, The Dell Family and The Parc Group.

The SJRCC Foundation awards $63,900.00 in scholarships.

February 25, 2008
Students and faculty kick off the 50 year celebration on each campus.

December 10, 2007
The SJRCC Foundation establishes the Dan & Katie Martinez Endowed Scholarship Fund through a generous donation of $50,000.00 from Danny and Katie Martinez. Mr. Martinez serves on the Foundation Board of Directors. This scholarship will give Putnam County students the opportunity to attend St. Johns River Community College.
