Please Note: The textbook information listed is updated frequently and subject to change. There are many factors that will affect the accuracy of this information, such as instructor changes, additional or different material packaged by publisher, added or cancelled classes, etc.

We make every effort to be sure that the information we provide is correct but cannot be held responsible for changes beyond our control. Our inventory fluctuates depending on sales and shipments, so we cannot guarantee that every book is in stock or that new and used copies are available for each title listed.

Several classes use books that are bundled with Web CT components, passcodes, study guides, etc. that may not be available when ordering these bundles from other online sources. Please use ISBNs to match exactly the book or bundle you are looking for.

ISBNs are available on the booklist (PDF) and at the bookstore. We do not give ISBNs over the phone.

Financial Aid/Third Party Billing
Students may use book cards August 9 - September 1, 2010.

I. All Third Party billing students must obtain documentation from the cashier and show picture ID before purchases will be allowed.

II. Steps to obtaining a Financial Aid Bookcard Authorization
  1. Log in to MySJRCC
  2. Select the "Student" Tab
  3. Under Financial Aid, select "Get Bookcard Authorization"
  4. In the book authorization window, select "Request a New Book Authorization." (see NOTE)
  5. Follow the instructions to Accept the Agreement and "Submit Request"
  6. When the Official Authorization form loads, print the form and take it to the Bookstore.
  7. Contact the Financial Aid Office if you cannot obtain the book card on-line.

NOTE: If you receive any notification that indicates you cannot receive a book authorization, contact the Financial Aid Office.


Refunds/Exchanges

A bookstore is located on each of the three campuses of St. Johns River Community College. Students may purchase textbooks and other materials for college classes. The bookstore will refund textbooks provided they meet the following requirements.

All refunds must be accompanied by a receipt.

Refunds will be made by check, credit to credit card or credit to financial aid book card. NO CASH REFUNDS. Bookstore management reserves the right to determine the value of returned items based on salability and condition.

FALL/SPRING TERM REFUNDS

  • A 30 Day refund period will be designated from the beginning of each term. The end date of the refund period will be noted on all signage at each bookstore.
  • Textbooks for the fall and spring term may be returned for a full refund (original resalable condition) during the first two weeks of class.
  • New textbooks beyond the first two weeks of this 30 day period will be refunded at the used price (75% of new).
  • No refunds are allowed after this 30 day refund period.


SUMMER TERM REFUNDS
  • A 10 day refund period will be designated from the beginning of each term. The end date of the refund period will be noted on all signage at each bookstore.
  • Textbooks for the summer term may be returned for a full refund (original resalable condition) during the first week of class.
  • New textbooks beyond the first week of this 10 day period will be refunded at the used price (75% of new).
  • No refunds are allowed after this 10 day refund period.


To acquire a 100% refund for books purchased with shrink-wrap, the books must be returned as sold without the shrink-wrap opened. At anytime, a used book may be returned for a new book when the customer is willing to pay the difference in price. Also, defective books may be exchanged for a non-defective book.



STUDENT CENTERS

Palatka Campus
The Viking Center is located on the Palatka Campus, first floor of the Student Services Building. The center houses guidance counseling and testing, the Career Resource Center, food services, vending machines, a games area, student lounge area, and the offices of the Student Activities Coordinator and the Student Government Association (SGA).
Normal hours of operation are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Vice President for Student Affairs and all Viking Center employees are responsible for the execution and administration of the regulations of the Viking Center. Use of the Center during regular operating hours is primarily reserved for SJRCC students, faculty, and staff. Although visitors are welcome, parents must supervise young children and abide by the same standards of conduct and regulations expected of students.

Orange Park Campus
The Orange Park Campus Student Center houses guidance counseling and testing, the Career Resource Center, food services, the Bookstore, vending machines, a games area, student activities, a community room, and the SGA offices.

St. Augustine Campus
The St. Augustine Campus Center contains the Bookstore, the office of the Student Activities Director, the SGA Office, meeting rooms, vending machines, and food services.
